PINK CHRISTMAS!

I am always dreaming in Pink, so this is my Christmas inspiration! These are not pictures of my tree or of my house but I sure wish they were! I am in my hometown right now and do not have my own pictures on my laptop, so I figured I would share a little dream with you. I will put up my pictures very soon! Decorating in pink for Christmas does not have to be tacky, it can be very classy. I love the second to the last picture of the pretty wrapping for the presents, each one has its own touch of pink. I think my first Christmas purchase after I get out of school will be a very nice pink tree! I'm sure everyone else will appreciate it as much as I do! :) I am off to studying for finals again... I hope you are all enjoying you break and are actually being able to have a break! *Goodnight, Loves*

Too picky?

I am always searching for the perfect dress for the next event I have coming up. I do not settle until I find exactly what I am looking for and money is not issue. This is truly a blessing because I settle for nothing but the best. I do try to look in places that are less expensive but if I find exactly what I want and in my size, I'm buying it. Being small has its advantages but a disadvantage is that it is extremely hard to find clothes to fit correctly. I guess living in the second obese state in the country contributes to that problem. However, this does not motivate me to gain weight, just to shop more. Lucky for me, it's what I love! :) This is my inspiration photos for what I am looking for in a "NYE Dress." I prefer 3/4 to long sleeves just because of the weather. I saw these photos on pinterst and none of them went to the sites where the dresses were sold. Let me know if you have seen anything like this available at any shops. I would love the help in this search for the perfect NYE Dress! What is your inspiration for NYE?

Well I suppose this one excerpt from Sex and the City speaks to me loud and clear. Let's just say over the years, I have suddenly gained the special flaw of indecisiveness. I am not sure what happened or where I really went wrong? I used to be so sure about every decision I made and what I wanted. I do think that I know what I want but I think most of the time either it seems it doesn't exist these days or it's unattainable. It used to be BIG decisions I had a hard time making because I never wanted to make the wrong choice. Now, Do I want the Organic cheese that's $10.00 because it's healthy or the Kraft Cheese that's $4.00 because it's cheap and well I am a broke college student but I am also 25 and feel like I'm getting up in age and do not need to play around with putting processed foods in my body. Ok, that is just a little ten seconds of what goes through my mind when I do something as simple as grocery shopping. and this is for EVERY item that I buy. You would not believe how long I stay in the grocery store, especially if I am by myself. I sure wish I knew a way to get rid of this horrible bug I've caught! It literally drives me crazy and I know it drives others around me crazy too. Maybe it's just a part of growing up and realizing you won't ever have it all. It's been a pretty rough week for me and I really wish I could relax and enjoy this Thanksgiving break but thank you to my chemistry professor I will be having my 3rd test the Monday after. So, I will be studying this whole weekend and I am sure make time to blog as it may be my only break from studying.
Modern women have been told that we can be anything we want -
an astronaut, the head of an Internet company, a stay-at-home mom.
There aren't any rules. choices are endless.
And apparently, they can all be delivered to your door.
Is it possible that we've gotten so spoiled by choices
that we've become unable to make one?
That we know that once you choose something,
one man, one great apartment, one amazing job,
another option goes away?
Are we a generation who can't choose just one from column 'A'?
Did we have too much to handle, or was Samantha right?
can we have it all?

Decor Revealed

If you have lived with me, I am sure these pictures are nothing new other than where they are hung. :) I have not bought much new stuff but what I have, has definitely made a difference in this tiny place. After looking at most of the pictures I have taken, I think I am going to do a before and after blog on each room. It is amazing to see the transformation of this place. Today is dedicated to just showing the addition of decor in the living room/ kitchen/ laundry area and then we can look at one room at a time. I apologize the pictures aren't the best quality, which means you have to just come see it in person! I have been studying all day and still have so much to do so I'm making this snappy. GET EXCITED!

Living room with my NY picture and a preview of the Christmas tree
Marilyn Monroe with new sheers and curtain rods

Audrey Hepburn is in the kitchen…
did you see the birchbox coasters on the table? :)
New wine glass holder from Ikea
New Wine bottle holder from Ikea I just need 4 wine bottles, uh oh!
& Phillipians 4:8 picture on the opposite wall

Small laundry room containing my red Vogue picture and of course another Marilyn Monroe.

Deck the HALL!

10:02 PM Es Elle 0 Comments

Last minute, my mother decided to come into town on Saturday to help me finish painting the last bit of my place. The hall was saved for last and I had lots of decor that needed to be hung on the walls. Well, she came down and worked me like a slave while also paying me for it :) We put one coat on and then went out to eat and shopping. I had so much fun just running all over town with her, browsing in all the different stores and buying more home decor. We ended up coming back and putting one last coat on the hall and hung all of my pictures. I am going to show you before and after pictures of the hall and save my lovely decor for tomorrow's blog! It looks so0o0o awesome! I am so relieved to finally feel like I am at home! It has definitely been a long, drawn out process and I honestly have only my mother to thank. She has been the one and only person who has helped me really get this place in shape. I am so thankful for everything she has done and continues to do for me. I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful woman to be not only my mother but also my friend. She also bought me a Christmas tree :)))))) Don't fret, I am most definitely going to put pictures up of my lovely tree for all of you to see. I put up the tree and all of my Christmas decorations, of course while listening to Christmas music. This is my most FAVORITE time of the year!! Have you all hung your decorations yet?! Well, here in college town, you have to give us a little bit of break since we aren't home for a week of thanksgiving and pretty much the whole month of December. We have to put them up early in order to enjoy them for a little while. Who knows, it may help with our finals??? You know, maybe get in the Christmas cheer :) Let me know what you think of Hall painting! Happy Monday!

Before with the horrible light...        This is with the new light Phil installed

The finished product! I may find some cute pictures to hang on the walls!

Oh, Albert

I was browsing through different blogs on here last night and I came across Sparkles and Crumbs blog. First I would love to say that I enjoy reading her blogs because I am not just a quote lover but also a huge fan of Marilyn Monroe. I read a quote on one of her blogs that was written by Albert Einstein and it really hit home for me. Normally, I would save these kinds of things on my Template of Quotes but for some reason I kept browsing. Later last night, I was messing around on my Iphone and decided to look at my horoscope for the day. I don't believe, per se, in Astrology but sometimes it is just nice to have positive insight in your life from someone other than saying "you'll be fine" or "it will work out." So, if I am in desperate need of some encouragement, I will check to see what the stars have to say about my future. silly I know. To my astonishment, my horoscope had that exact same quote from Albert Einstein in regards to where I am in life right now. Naturally, I was amazed and just knew that it was a sign and wanted to share it with you. I tried to go back to Sparkles and Crumbs to find the exact quote she had on her page and could not find it, so I used trusty Google. I have posted the quote by Albert Einstein along with my horoscope for the day. I think everyone could apply this to their life, even if they aren't a Pisces! :) What a smart smart man! Goodnight, Loves!

There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.
But without deeper reflection one knows from daily life that one exists for other people; first of all for those upon whose smiles and well-being our own happiness is wholly dependent, and then for the many, unknown to us, to whose destinies we are bound by the ties of sympathy.
A hundred times every day I remind myself that my inner and outer life are based on the labors of other men, living and dead, and that I must exert myself in order to give in the same measure as I have received and am still receiving.
A human being is part of a whole, called by us the "Universe," a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest -a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest us.
Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.
Only a life lived for others is worth living.
--Albert Einstein

PISCES Nov, 09, 2011
Albert Einstein once said that there are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle. Choose the latter, Pisces, and you'll reap great personal rewards. You've been through a rough period, but you shouldn't allow the challenges and hardships you endured to alter your path unless it's for the better. If you count even your difficulties among the miracles in your life, you'll be primed to get the most out of every blessing that comes your way. Maintain an attitude of acceptance and a belief that even your darkest hours were valuable and positive in some way, and you'll eventually find the success you seek.

There is a little secret that I would like to share to my audience today. I have joined a mailing list and it's not just any kind of mailing list. It is a mailing list full of surprises every month for the beauty inspired girl. If you are into trying new things and wanting to know the latest products on the market, Birchbox is for you. They cater to every kind of woman; in fact when you join, you will fill out a survey about your lifestyle, skin and hair types. You control the kind of products they send to you without knowing exactly what is to come every month. I am the kind of person that LOVES mail and presents. Receiving this little $10 box in the mail every month always puts a smile on my face and an anticipation of what goodies I am going to receive next. You sign up at Birchbox.com and $10 is automatically drafted out of your account every month and they automatically ship it to your home. I have enjoyed every product I have received in the two months I have joined. I do not have the time to research new products or to go to stores and try new things, so this is perfect. Included in the box are your products beautifully wrapped in pink paper along with ribbon and post card telling you about each product, size, price and how to use it. A few more perks: if you like the product you can purchase it on their website, you can send as a gift to a friend, free shipping, and you can earn points that will go towards discounted purchases. I promise I do not work for the company and by no means getting paid by promoting them or anything, I only wish I had thought of this idea sooner! ha Go get yourself on the mailing list and we can share our goodies with each other! If you are already receiving them, let me know what you are getting and how you like it!

Roads

12:23 AM Es Elle 0 Comments

I saw this picture tonight and thought about the quote on the chalkboard. Written in 1915, by Robert Frost, this poem still has the same meaning today as it did almost 100 years ago. Life is a comical tragedy, periods in time where the feelings felt will never be the same as in that moment. And all we can do is feel those feelings, make our decisions and hope for the best; because it sure beats having no feelings at all.  What does this poem mean for you?
 *Goodnight*

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
- Robert Frost

FALL < WINTER

7:24 PM Es Elle 0 Comments

Well, November is here and although most people would like to wait until after Thanksgiving to begin the Christmas decorating, I am having a hard time containing myself. I LOVE Christmas music, decorations, traffic, weather, etc. There is just something about that time of year that makes me feel like nothing could go wrong or put me in a bad mood. I am sure my over excitement for Christmas time is annoying to the many Grinch's out there but I'm not holding back! I am contemplating when to put my decorations up. My extent of Fall decorations is a wreath and pumpkins. Not much! I have way more Christmas stuff and considering I may be home the whole month of December, I need to be able to enjoy them as much as I can! I am not sure if I will be getting a tree, most likely not but I can at least have all of my other little trinkets out. When do you think is the right time to put out Christmas decorations? Do you think before Thanksgiving is too early? Let me know what you all think! Have a fantabulous week! I'm leaving you with pictures of my sparse fall/halloween decor! :)

As it should be...
Me: Babe, I think she (Coco) is thirsty! You didn't give her any water with her food!
Mark: Women... always wanting something....
Me: It is a man's world...
Mark: Pshhh...yeah... we get to cater to women the whole time
Me: HAHA... yeah. you are right.

I was watching E News and Robert Pattinson was talking about Breaking Dawn and the wedding scene. He had the perfect view of a man's role in a wedding! I tried to embed it on here but it wouldn't let me so you have to click the link... http://www.eonline.com/videos/did-twilight-stars-really-tie-the-knot/173308

11-1-11

8:50 PM Es Elle 0 Comments

Today is, I suppose, a sort of memorable day considering it is 11-1-11 and it will never be that day for another thousand years. Although, I guess you could think of every day with that point of view! ha well I though that it was pretty cool to see all of those 1's together since I usually wish on 11:11. How are all my followers doing?! Well I am trying to get into the mood to study. I found out I made a 94 on my Micro midterm and a 96 on my AnP Lab midterm and I have absolutely no concentration to study. I have a Micro test tomorrow and an AnP test on Thursday and I have been so distracted! Thats what happens when I go home and see all of my friends! It takes a week for me to get refocused again! ha I think a lot of is has to do with working so hard last week on those tests and doing so well, I am just burnt out! I need a long vaca in the mountains with all the pretty Christmas lights! :) I have not even listened to Christmas music... which is my favorite... because I am afraid I am going to get way too excited about the month long break I get! ha
I went home this weekend for Halloween and had so much fun seeing my friends and family. I was Dorothy on Friday night and a Sailor on Saturday night. It has been a long time since I have done 2 nights like that and lets just say that I was exhausted by Sunday! I hope you all had a Happy Halloween and have a great rest of the week. I'm leaving you with a picture of my pretty princess all dressed up for trick or treating! :) *Goodnight*
