I'm baaack….

I am back from the beach and it's a little bittersweet. I did miss home but I guess the mixture of having a ton of school work and Coco is away, I would like to still be at the beach! I am, however, a lobster and I need to learn what sunscreen is best for my skin. Here is one of my pictures of the beach that I took:

So I am officially leaving for the beach tomorrow. alone. depressing? NAH…  If I can manage to go to the beach alone I think I can do about anything alone. Granted, I would rather have someone come along with me but surprisingly everyone has turned down a free couple of days at the beach! I am not going to let this stop me from going because I deserve a break, I need a break. I have been going 90 to nothing since last fall and it's about time I have some relaxation in my life. It's kind of sad when you want to share everything you do with someone that doesn't care to share it with you or even know, so you end up alone. Alone is a good place, in alone time is where you find yourself and most of the time someone else does too! :) I just LOVE  the beach… I am so excited, you have no idea. It is all I have been able to think about all day! So I may be having a little project coming up soon with my family's beach house that I talked to my father about today... yaaaaahhhhh!!! I will be giving you updates soon and prayerfully it will work. So this has me thinking all about beach everything. There is not one thing that you cannot like about the beach, ok maybe hurricanes, other than that, NOTHING! Here are some pictures I found to share of what I like about the beach…
The Ocean

The Sand

The Palm Tree (my favorite)

even… The Seagulls

Sunrise

Sunset

Beach Love

Dinner for Two (awww)

Wedding for two (and a few)

Beach Cake? no thanks

Beach House

Beach Car

Beach Bicycle? Oh, yes

Beach Fishing? Of course!

along comes a little one… Beach Nursery

and then there were 3… Beach Family!

OK so I just let you into a little bit of my dream world… hope you enjoyed and now you will be planning your next beach trip very soon I'm sure. I will try to blog while I am there but I'm sure the beach will keep me pretty occupied! :) I'll try to post some pics of my trip. Back to…

I am so thankful for my Thursdays now, you have no idea! Monday-Wednesday is just so crazy and Thursdays I have absolutely no classes! My favorite movie Definitely, Maybe came on tonight and I have been sort of, out of words, I guess you could say. So one of my new favorite parts I just had to share:

Will: There's a fetching young intern who just started a week ago.
April: Great. Ask her out.
Will: I should, shouldn't I? But I don't think I will. You see, I don't want a fling. I want the real deal.
April: Forget about the real deal. You don't find it, it finds you.
Will: What does that mean? I don't know what that means.
April: It means that you get to a certain age and then you're ready.
You know, you're ready for kids or a commitment or, you know…
 ...a mortgage.
You know what I mean?
And the person that you're with then,
they become the one.
Will: So you're saying it's not who, but it's when.
April: Exactly.
Will: Okay. All right.

This gives great insight to many relationships around us. If you think about friendships and relationships and how they form and how friends come and go and so do lovers. They usually come into your life because of common interests and they usually drift away because those interests change. I think April has a great point to love happening where you are in life. If you are constantly on different paths and pages in your book, it can't work. BUT, along comes that person thats just where you are and it clicks. Two books become one great love story. Too many people are just trying to make it happen and work and the truth is, either it does or it doesn't. Coming from someone who really does not even know herself; I believe that you will know. Movies and songs have made it all so complicated. You should read into everything; he/she said this, did they mean this? did they really want this or were they trying to say this? It's as plain as black and white. Either it is or it isn't and if it isn't, you will find the "it is" in time. No one should settle for anything less than the best because somewhere out there, there is another "best" looking just for you. :) *Goodnight*

SATURDAY NIGHT MOVIE

12:04 AM Es Elle 0 Comments

So I just saw this movie for the first time tonight and it was absolutely {uh}mazing. It definitely awakens the little girl inside that has always dreamt of a 'happily ever after' but is hidden by all the disappointments and hurt of this world. We (women) are ALL worth it and deserve it! *Enjoy*

Letters to Juliet

Quote of the Night: Dear Claire, "What" and "If" are two words as non-threatening as words can be. But put them together side-by-side and they have the power to haunt you for the rest of your life: What if? What if? What if? I don't know how your story ended but if what you felt then was true love, then it's never too late. If it was true then, why wouldn't it be true now? You need only the courage to follow your heart. I don't know what a love like Juliet's feels like - love to leave loved ones for, love to cross oceans for but I'd like to believe if I ever were to feel it, that I will have the courage to seize it. And, Claire, if you didn't, I hope one day that you will. All my love, Juliet - Letters to Juliet

TGIF!

or not???? This just means that I am 3 days away from my first AnP exam and 6 days away from my first Organic Chemistry exam!! FREAK OUT! While I would love to be painting the room I need to be studying in, I will be studying in any other room but that one. I met with my Pharmacy advisor today and he gave me great encouragement for what I am about to encounter the next year. I am about to be hitting the books hard core and will have no time for play (but hopefully blogging). I found out that I have to have my application turned in by September as opposed to March…. big difference, HUGE. So I have got a lot of work ahead of me but I am definitely ready. I am looking for a roommate and if any of you know of anyone that needs a place to live here, please, let me know! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! XOXO

Calling all decorators and guests!

3:31 PM Es Elle 0 Comments

So I finished priming my office last night and its time to start picking out the color scheme that I want. Here are pictures of the room so far!

So far all I have in the room is a Parsons desk and I have the choice of two options of furniture. I have a daybed (used to be white but is now black) that is FREE from the family or I have the option of a black futon that I can go buy for $70. This is where the guests come into voting since you will be staying in the room! :)

Pro's of the futon: already in town, folds out to full bed.
Con's of the futon: not sure how comfortable it will be, $70, will have to buy mattress pad, may have to freshen up paint.

Pro's of the daybed: Free, comfort of an actual bed, can fit another bed underneath
Con's of the daybed: moving it down, may have to paint it (depending on what color scheme I chose), have to buy a bed to go underneath (if I chose).

Next: is picking out the colors! I have been thinking a lot about a light blue or maybe a tiffany blue. My desk is white and I was originally wanting an all white office and accent with color but being a poor college student, I am having to compromise some of the things I want. For some crazy reason black decor is cheaper than white decor so I was thinking more of a black and white office. While I would LOVE  to have pink in there, I am trying to separate myself from the pink obsession (I'm sure my guests will thank me for that). So here is kind of what I have been looking at. Let me know what you think!

Blue, black and white: Love the Tiffany blue!

This is a lighter blue but also incorporates black  very classy

This is also a very pretty blue that goes with black and white.  traditional

Now, my other guest room is blue since I am a poor college student, once again, I am thinking about leaving that room the color it is and decorating with what I have. So other options for the office I have seen that I like are:
Neutrals, black and white

I would appreciate it if I could get some feedback from all of you wonderful followers and friends out there!! I hope you are all having a great week! The weekend is almost here :) I'm off to study!

Out of the Closet!

11:46 AM Es Elle 0 Comments

Everything came out of the closet last night, not just Taylor and Robert but ALL  of my clothes! I randomly felt like organizing my closet because ever since I moved in, we just threw my clothes in there and it was a disaster! My brother is going to be building me a new closet soon but until then, I just had to have a little organization going on. It's amazing how much easier, just being organized can make your life. I did not get a before picture of my closet but I did get one of all the clothes on my bed:

DISASTER!

This is about 1/3 of my actual closet and clothes.. The rest of it is covered by walls and I practically have to weasel myself between the wall and the clothes to get what I am looking for, hence why I am getting knew closets! But now I at least know where everything is! I color coordinated by style also. Starting at the right (behind the wall) were all my coats and sweatshirts, then long sleeves,  short sleeves, tank tops, skirts/pants, then all my beautiful dresses are covered by the other wall!

MUCH BETTER!

I even made Coco a little closet for her self in the study room.
Now she just needs more clothes! :)

Empty ME

10:23 PM Es Elle 0 Comments

What a week! I have not blogged in a couple of days and even though this is supposed to be a short week because of the holiday, this week has lasted forever! One of the reasons why I have not really blogged much lately is that I have so much on my mind and have not been able to sort my thoughts. I have school that has been absolutely insane since day one. Relationships; well we all know thats complicated no matter how you look at it. Home Improvements, well the whole place is lacking… in EVERY room and its driving me CRAZY! I finally caulked the ceiling of my study room tonight and it has to dry for two hours. After waiting, I am now not motivated to paint as I was 2 hours ago. I feel like its taking me FOREVER! well, actually is it. So I feel like I need a DIY organization for my brain. Dump everything out. Sort through it. Throw away the bad and the unnecessary. Put dividers and tabs in place. Arrange them in order of priority.  And then GO!
I think about how I used to run a whole front desk of an office, a busy busy office at that, and never skipped a beat but yet I feel like I need a personal assistant to run my life! I know life is not supposed to be this stressful and exhausting. I try to have me time and personal time but that just leads to guilt and then even bigger freaking out later. It's a disability to be so obsessive compulsive. I have to continually remind myself to stay calm and take everything in one at a time. So my decision is to take this project, one room at a time. My focus point is school and in my extra time I will be painting and hopefully finding time to update you lovely people :)  Bear with me, this is only a phase of life, it too shall pass. Goodnight!
