I am not really sure who came up with this word but the popularity of it has increased through social media and entertainment. I first saw this on Pinterest (go figure) and it definitely struck a nerve… the good kind of course… the one that makes you think "ooooh yeah, right there, that feels good…" I guess you could say this word fits our desire to: explore, learn, and experience the vast amount of things this world has to offer to us. I have known that I want to travel one day and see the different cultures of this world but sometimes you can't help but 'wander' when this will happen. Life gets so busy and the days, weeks, and years begin to fly by and you wonder where it went and what did I actually do with all that time. The only thing stopping me or you from actually doing it is ourselves. That was thing I learned when I moved to NY. Yes, it was daring but it wasn't unattainable. I have many people tell me "Oh I could never do that" or "I don't know how you did it!" and the answer was very simple. I wanted it so I went after it. I made the calls, saved the money and put what was a dream into reality. It was honestly one of the best experiences of my life and something I will never forget. I can not believe it will be four years this summer since I lived there. I am now in that place 'wandering' where the time went, what I have I done since then, why I have not gone back like I vowed to myself and the friends I made. I have decided as one of my New Years Resolutions that each year I am going to pick a new place that I have never been before and always wanted to visit and make it happen. Being a broke college student, I can't be too elaborate but I do have friends in many cities that I have not visited and hey, I used to spend that much money going crazy on Spring Break every year, so I know I can make it happen! Most people always choose the beach or mountains but I want to expand my horizons and see the diverse world God made for our enjoyment. Imagine how boring this life would be if everyone were exactly the same. Embrace diversity, breathe it in, learn from it, and you will soon be lusting for more
I am sorry I have not blogged in a long time. I went home for the holidays and have a hard time keeping up when I am out of my routine. I can attest that I am back and will  hopefully be providing insight and sharing my thoughts and experiences along the way. I would love to hear about any of your NY resolutions made if you would like to share. I will keep you updated with the details of my 2012 trip!  *Happy Tuesday*

Quote of the Night: Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts.  Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.  ~Mark Twain
